TACCOM v2 Tactical Radio
Real push-to-talk voice comms for DCS World, EVE Online, Star Citizen, Nuclear Option, and more.
Built to order by TACCOM, a BlueUplink company.
Order by August 15 to receive in September.
How does this compare to Discord?
The TACCOM maintains organized voice comms, akin to the structured communication disciplines used by HAM Radio operators.
| TACCOM | Discord |
|---|---|
| Communication | |
| Designed for large scale events and multi-crew scenarios. | One voice room, everyone talking at once. Requires voice discipline and training. |
| Setup | |
| Quick and easy. Tune to a channel. Press a button to talk. No need to worry about crosstalk. | Requires training and adherence to your tean's voice chat operating procedures to eliminate crosstalk. |
| Privacy | |
| Very private setup. You own your data. | You'll always be in their database. |
| Human-Factor | |
| Connects players who share a reference in game such as a place, a point of interest, or even a server. | Not designed for player discovery. |
| Community | |
| A family-friendly community. Every TACCOM owner is a flight sim enthusiast, or at the very least, related to one. | A free service designed to accomodate non-games. Collects and trades your personal data. |
How players are using their TACCOM
Most flight sims and mil sims are supported. These are some of our favs.
Squadron operations
Easily coordinate with known and unknown players on the same frequency. Monitor multiple frequencies concurrently and at different volumes.
Fleet operations
Communicate with individual groups, or broadcast to the entire fleet if you're the commander.
ATC operations
Run a tower frequency. Clear launches and landings, sequence inbound traffic, and report traffic.
Mining operations
Monitor for sector activity from scouts, coordinate miners, haulers, and escorts on different channels while maintaining situational awareness.
Refueling operations
Stuck in space? Request refueling support from other radio operators, not specifically in your org.
What it is
The TACCOM is a handheld radio for multiplayer games. Tune to a frequency, press the transmit button, and your voice goes out to every operator listening on that channel in. Nothing to install and nothing running on your gaming rig.
A completely private communication network of likeminded players.
Out of the box it connects to the TACCOM.IO network. Register a free callsign, tune the frequency your squadron uses, and key up. Every supported game has its own band of public frequencies, and anyone tuned in can hear you and answer.
- Leverages a Message Queue Protocol to ensure clear communication among thousands of players on a single frequency.
- Fully supports a variety of flight sims such as DCS World, EVE Online, Star Citizen, Nuclear Option, and more.
- Real knobs and buttons
- Built with discretion and control over your own data.
Dedicated frequencies for high profile in-game locations, and more.
